- Rated 1 out of 5by adm, 4 months agoThis developer loves to sneak in intrusive ads into your YouTube experience. Really disgusting practice
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18238025, 4 months agoThis addon included invasive promotion of another addon on youtube, the addon it suggests you install alters youtube results in a very intrusive way, declared as spam.
- Rated 1 out of 5by distantforest, 4 months agoPuts ads on your youtube page for his other addons. Don't recommend.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14310408, 4 months agoInserting advertisements for other extensions by inserting elements into a webpage is not OK. I would recommend switching to other extensions as this is very shady at best.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Illiou, 4 months agoInserts ads for their other addons without origin or context as a random box on the youtube page, making you consider if you have adware installed. That's unacceptable.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Nico, 7 months agoSeriously? Adding advertisements in an add-on without my consent?
Not cool. Not cool at all. Uninstalled. Take your advertisements and shove them.
Not to mention deleting the GitHub issue that reports this? That's not shady at all. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18092927, 7 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Samg381, 7 months agoThe developer uses this extension as a personal facebook wall. This extension has nagged me one too many times with completely unrelated messaging. First was the data harvesting, and now begging for donations because the developer lives near a war zone. Don't use this extension if you value your time, or are frustrated by ads. There is probably some unsavory data harvesting going on in the background as well.

posted 7 months agoNo data harvesting is going on. https://github.com/avi12/youtube-auto-hd - Rated 1 out of 5by John Smith, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by KSavov, a year agoInsta-remove, required access to history and all webpages. You(avi12) should not be selling user data!

posted a year agoYou could check out the source code to see that I'm not selling any user data: https://github.com/avi12/youtube-auto-hd - Rated 1 out of 5by tuffghost, a year agoNew version wants permissions no extension should ever be asking for, i.e. browsing history. After already being informed via an invasive Google Form that the developer is considering selling our data, I will no longer trust this extension. Vile stuff.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Paul, a year agoI was using this addon on Edge and I really liked it but I'm not sure if I can still trust it after it suddenly redirected me to a Google Form without my permission (without asking me at all actually)
- Rated 1 out of 5by avi13, a year agoWARNING!!! This extension intends to become malware! It redirected users to a random survey website, against their permission, to ask if they would be so kind as to allow avi12 to steal their information and sell their browsing histories. Do not trust any extension by this author.

posted a year agoI understand your concerns pal
First off, no Firefox users' data will be collected; rather, IF data will be collected, it will only be Chrome users'
Second, I'm conducting the survey to get a broad picture of what would be the right direction
I could've equally just dumped a script for Chrome users, but I don't do it

Until I was redirected to a new tab and asked (Via google form? fucking seriously dude?) if I would be comfortable with the creator SELLING MY DATA. I recommend finding an alternative. To directly quote the review Two places down, "Not only is this an issue in the sense that I was redirected to another site without my permission, it also shows that this extension could start taking your information in the future." To go even further, it shows this extension already WANTS to be taking and selling your information. The creator has made his intent known and we should jump ship while we can.

posted a year agoRest assured, I won't collect Firefox users' data
If I will collect users' data, it will only be Chrome's, and it'll be opt-in - Rated 1 out of 5by scumhero, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Rose, a year agoDeveloper sends pop-ups while using the extension; sent me to a Google Form about the possibility of selling information on users in the middle of watching a YouTube video. Not only is this an issue in the sense that I was redirected to another site without my permission, it also shows that this extension could start taking your information in the future.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13452440, a year agoStarted showing popups asking for money. Uninstalled. There are absolutely essential extensions that have been around for years and NEVER put in nag popups, the author is clearly out of touch with reality.

posted a year agoClicking the X button of the donation section will hide it permanently - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17141374, 2 years agoThis add-on used to be perfect but recently a bug has prevented the seamless switching of resolution when watching videos. For example to change from 720p to 1440p from the player itself does not work when the video is playing, and even with the video paused the resolution you want to select to requires at least 3 attempts before it actually changes.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Sabbath99, 5 years agoI encountered an issue where whenever I hit the arrow keys, the settings pop up. Settings also pop up whenever I click the video time bar. This is getting frustrating.
